Domino Merge Challenge comes packed with features that enhance your gameplay experience. Switch between Light and Dark themes from the start screen or anytime during gameplay. Toggle sound effects on or off — the game uses synthesized audio for placement, merges, chain reactions, level-ups, and game over events. Use the Pause button to take a break without losing progress. The game auto-saves your best score to your browser's local storage, so your high score persists between sessions. On mobile, the layout automatically adapts to a vertical stack with touch-optimized controls. On desktop, enjoy the full 3-column layout with large interactive panels.

Every merge of 3 or more matching dice awards points based on the new tile value multiplied by the number of dice merged and the chain multiplier. Chain reactions — where a merge creates a tile that immediately triggers another merge — multiply your score further (×2, ×3, ×4 and beyond). Every 500 points advances you to the next level, which increases the range of possible dice values on new dominoes, making the game progressively more challenging. The Game Over screen displays your final score, level reached, highest tile created, total merges performed, and best chain combo achieved.

Stuck with a domino that doesn't fit anywhere? Use a Reroll to discard it and receive a fresh pair — you start each game with 3 rerolls. Need more? The blue "+3 FREE" button below the reroll grants 3 additional rerolls and reappears every 5 placements. The Skip button lets you pass your turn entirely without placing a domino — the current pair is discarded and replaced, but be careful: skipping doesn't clear board space. Use these power-ups strategically to survive longer and push for higher scores. Both power-ups are disabled while animations are playing or when the game is paused.
